      ... a bit out of the way for getting to Salzburg but many pretty scenes, houses and mountains were evident on the road there. This little town is very pretty indeed – high, snowy mountains and a great big lake. Plenty of pretty little houses also.       ... on, Cheryl and I crossed the street and headed to the old town of Berchtesgaden about a 10 minute hike up the hill. Now Berchtesgaden had your typical cobblestones and tyrolean style buildings, but quite frankly it did not do a lot for me.       ... they were all placed where the mountain side was the steepest.

      After going back to the gift shop, we went on another trail called the Gramsgrubenweg. Although it wasn't really much of a trail at first because it mostly went through tunnels in the mountain side. There were six tunnels, averaging about 200 meters long each, with only short openings in between. But there were quite a few exhibits in the tunnels, to make the hike a little more interesting.
