Leave from nice on the Chemins de fer de Province (diesel train) to Touet-sur-Var. And then the steam train to Entrevaux, city with amazing views. On the way back a quick stop in Puget-Théniers.

There was a beautiful, steep, green walk up to old castle ruins above the hotel in the clouds and church bells seemed to chime around the mountains and lakes our whole stay. Perfect. Unfortunately we had to go home, at least it's warm here and living here I think makes us appreciate more the wonderful places we are visiting. Enjoy the pics.

Castellane. Pop 1349. The plan today was the "Gorges du Verdon" which are 25km long and are basically known as the limestone "Grand Canyon" of Europe.
