Schaffhausen was a cute little town! We'd been near here last year but that was only to see the Rheinfall, not the town itself. We started out with a nice walk to the other end to climb up to the Chateau Munot - a castle-type building on a hill with a great view. The vineyards were aglow in the evening sunshine and it was very pleasant!

... I took photos of the cute streets with the old houses and shops. It was like a fairytale. We finally reached the castle and just outside was an athletics track. I took a few photos to show Jess because it was covered in snow. A few of us then needed to go to the toilet and there were some just there but when we went in it said we had to pay. ... areas. We saw lots of clock towers around the city. We also passed by the operahaus. The town itself was very quiet (unlike all the other touristy places I've been to so far, and it was a refreshing change). The buildings around us were very quaint, I love the Swiss vibe already. The morning started out rainy, but around late afternoon, we finally saw sun. And I am so glad we got to see Zurich in the sunlight.

... to greenery, gardens, greenhouses etc. We walked through secoya trees, rose gardens and had dessert served in a giant greenhouse among palm trees and tropical plants. absolutly gorgeous.

It was also a big week of celebration - Canada day and Independence day called for big parties!
