Delhi, where a empire rose and fell before the dawn of history; where citadels of emperors appeared and disappeared; a city of mysterious eternity whose old ruins proclaim a majestic and imperial past and whose present pulsates vibrantly with the ever flowing life of India. The eternal Jamuna bears witness to the glorious and tumultuous 5,000 year old history of Delhi. A history which begins with the creation of Indraprastha by the Pandavas and the transformation of this barren gift of the Ka...

The housing market of Las Vegas has experienced some of the region's most astounding growth. According to the National Association of Realtors, the ...
We are in Delhi safe and sound!! Managed the aiport quite well, and the hotel is pretty good (clean). Spent most of yesterday recovering from the journey, but went out and explored today- tis craziness!! Visited Red Fort, which was okay (overpriced), but pretty hassle free (apart from people taking my photo and staring ha ha) and the Gandhi memorial museum, which was really good. Very ...
Delhi, India pughnell... of it because bottled water was few an far between. The Red Fort is massive! And so were the lines and the price to get in, so we decided to head to the Jama Masjid Mosque. In search for some water we got a little lost down some of the back-streets of Delhi. It was great to see the locals going about the day and the smell of spicy food cooking and incense was fantastic, it was a great little detour.
The next morning we jumped on a train to Agra.
... is a vast place we drew no inspiration from it. We then went to the Red Fort. This is an impressive structure built again by the Mughal's in the 17th century when they moved their capital from Agra to Delhi. The walled perimeter covering three sides to the river exceeds 2 kilometres and as the name suggests is made of red sandstone. It is surrounded by a moat and would have been a formidable place to conquer. In the centre of the complex is a ...
Delhi, India jbscott36... is very very crowded. Apparently the official number of people is about 10.5 million, though some local people believe it is more like 20 million. The streets are mostly dirt, or very torn up cement, and are crowded with people, bikes, rickshaws, auto-rickshaws, motorcycles, cars, and vegetable handcarts. Traffic laws, stop lights, traffic lanes need not apply here. It is a free for all. Let me tell you, rush hour ...
Delhi, India grasshopper42... was everything from a car turned baymaree to a four poster bed turned dining table. EM: Max has said just about everything i'd want to about Delhi seeing as we were only there for 24 hours. But the one thing he left out (blasphemy) is Jalebiwala. Curly bright orange twists of sugar syrupy batter deep fried and piping hot eaten on the side of the road.........I am in love. Next stop pune to met my friend Siddharth and his family for a 25th wedding anniversary
New Delhi, India max.rapley... up the bulk of those attempting to jostle their way in so I took few snaps around the Fort and decided to head for a dosa and a lassi instead. Back on the Metro at rush hour I realised disorder was starting to slowly creep onto the platforms after being whiplashed by a Ronnie Corbett lookalike whilst getting on the train. A small observation about Delhi-folk....they go where they want ...
Delhi, India thehogDec 3- Back on a train at 8pm for the two and a half hour trip to the Indian capital of Delhi. I didn't need a bed for a two hour trip so I booked a seat in the chair car which includes dinner. The train pulled into the New Delhi train station at 11pm. The nice thing about this station is that it is located within walking distance of the budget accomodation area of Paharganj. The area is also strategically located between ...
