        ... 8364;10 an enterprising, soaking wet, porter would schlep our bags across three bridges to our hotel (Hotel Olimpia,) which I had picked because it was nearest to the Port of Venice. Also, close to P. Roma Terminal. He was worth every last €! Our room was ready, so a two hour crash nap was in order. Woke revived ar 4 pm, and off to discover ...

        ... floor, but I made it.. once in traffic I was a bit nervous but finally got back to the girls and loaded everything in.

        Traffic in Rome is crazy and Gorge seemed unsure of where to go.. but after 30 minutes or so we hit the freeway and 80 Kms/m.. 4 hours later, a stop for drinks and pizza we made it.         ... city we were going to go to! So off to Venice we went on the start of our 10 day adventure! It was going to be packed with many activities!
        We arrived in Venice on Friday night, and found our way to our hostel. It was this camping type place that I could imagine would be very busy in the summer! It took us a while to find it, turns out it is hard to find a place when you get off at the wrong bus stop..... but the next morning we were ready to head ...

        If you'll indulge me in a spot of introspection, I realised this afternoon that I get so cross and frustrated when things don't go well because I feel like I've failed. The only person making me feel like that is me. Mum was right when she said I was a perfectionist. Is there a cure for that? Maybe gelato?

        ... there are no cars or bikes. Not that either would be practice with the amount of bridges and narrow roads. Some are 50cm wide. We had an evening gonadal ride. Not that exciting but now I can say I've done it. They are only for the tourists now since the invention of motors. I bought some nice new dress shirts today.
