Getting rid of stuff
... uit Duitsland en de VS, Art Nouveau, Islamitische kunst en Japanse houtsnijkunst. Probeer er vooral geen lijn in te zien :)
* Ik was geobsedeerd door de Amerikaanse popcultuur uit de jaren 50. Hoewel het hopen prachtig design opleverde, ben ik dit gedrocht van een "ik ik ik"-decennium nu wel beu. Mensen veranderen, en ik zie de jaren '50 nu als een eindpunt, niet als een begin.
* Veel van de kinderboeken die ik las gingen over andere culturen. Ben ik daardoor zo open ...
Fate, Friends and Mussels!
... I wasn't worried at all; the sweat pouring down my face was just from the heat!!! They just wanted to check that we weren't trying to bring fake clothing etc into Belgium! It wasn't just us pulled over, they were pulling in lorries as well, and apparently it is a bit of a problem at the moment! I think we managed to confuse the poor customs girl, her English wasn't the best and our Flemish was non existent, not a great mix!!!! We knew we were clear though so it didn't ...
Het begin
... de 2de helft van december neem ik dan normaal het vliegtuig terug. Als ik niet ergens blijf hangen natuurlijk :-).
De voorbije dagen vooral bezig geweest met verhuizen, spullen bijeenzoeken en inpakken. Ik zeul nu zo'n 32 kg mee. Een van de volgende weken zal ik zeker eens een lijstje posten met alles wat ik bij heb, als ik de meest nutteloze dingen er al heb uitgegooid.
