... and well looked after part of Lima. Apparently there is not much else to see in Lima apart from Miraflores. I doubt this is true but it is certainly a highlight of the area. Tall apartment building line the coast, there is a park with an abundance of flower gardens and sculptors that stretchers well over a kilometer. It is an ideal people watching place. ... and you are placing complete reliance on the driver (apparently you only live once so why not right?). It was loads of fun and the driver made a few stops on top of the sand dunes where we could give sand boarding a go. ... I realized the truck was stopped before a bridge. Most of the bridges were built out of 2x4 planks. They were taking out 100's of crates and carrying them 1 by 1 over the bridge in order to make the truck light enough to cross. Once the truck was across, they had to re-load them into the truck. There where at least 5 bridges like this where they had to do the entire process.
