      ... there were hotels but there didn't seem to be a thriving tourist industry, or even a tourist industry of any kind. It seemed busy the way Abidjan was busy: lots of people, going about their daily business, just trying to survive. Some buildings were beautiful, and some were very run-down.       ... how does that happen? No wonder cheeses of the Provence made from milk from happy cows are the best in the world, is my scientific conclusion.

      Spain rocks and beckons us to come back and explore it some more. Barcelona, now declared capital of Europe by us... is just the aperitif. So many other regions of this great country await for our next trip that might even include Portugal (maybe...). El Camino de Compostela remains as a strong possibility for the future.
