... Face time with Rachel and we saw Alice, how much she has changed in a month. She gave us plenty of smiles and a few gurgling noises and very much more alert and looked so pretty in her summer dress. Rachel looked so well to which was lovely to see.The next day was cooler so David and I got our bikes off Sega and off we went for 12 miles round trip, all along the coast, they had special cycle paths called the Vendee á velo, we rode to the port where we were going ...

Visually stunning with lots of action, we were in awe as what appeared to be an enormous solid stone wall ( where fighting between enemies had taken place) just lowered into the ground. ... to go onto a campsite at riverside as €14.00 for night and 3 hours free WiFi seemed a bargain.
There was no other show in town so we were all parked up in the lovely site by 20:00. There were not too many on site and it was refreshing not to be surrounded by too many more tourists.
Dinner cooked up and a stroll around the site in fading light.
A Father Matthew night followed and after the drive, perhaps no bad idea either,

10am! Bonus. Had a light breakfast and headed out to St Gilles to explore the town. Lovely little place. Walked down the Main Street to the cathedral where there were loads of cafés and restaurants around a main square, and a little playground and water fountain, which Benji enjoyed enormously. Opted for a "light" lunch, baguettes and orangina, but was delicious. Explored a bit more around the marina and ...
