At the fishmongers we purchased a huge 5 lb lobster, another local treat and made our way to another specialty store where we bought smoked tuna, all of which made for a very fine lunch.

PS a very scary night. We were all awoken by a howling creature and we were so scared until it went away!! So after a disturbed night we woke to clear skies, very cold air and a clear sky. We had decided to push on towards Sable d'Olonne until torrential rain and winds forced us to shelter in a bus garage to re-group. Amazingly we opted to abort camping, let alone wild camping in favour of chamber d'hôtel. After ...

As our friends had not visited this part of France and being a little restricted as motorvanners, we decide to make the most of our stay and visit the area around Brunellse. We decided to head North first calling at Sables D'Olonne,st Gilles Croix De Vie and St Jean de ...
