... warp into Gatlinburg, TN. The streets were shoulder to shoulder with tourists(like us) some wearing normal street clothes, some dusty and muddy from rock climbing and others had the look of hikers and climbers but never before worn or used for that purpose. ... bridge! then a ladder and one more bridge until I could step down to a giant rock. And all with a backpack on! Yikes, it was a bit exciting!

The scenery getting there was awesome, as was the scenery leaving and getting to our end town of Arolla. We saw a herd of Chamonix (deer like mammal) today which was cool. We also saw the famous Matterhorn ( mountain) for the first time. Woo hoo, it was a great day!

... of course the showers were $7 for 3 minutes of lukewarm water and she even charged for electricity to turn on the lights in the bedrooms. Gav and I grabbed breakfast in town. There were a herd of goats - I think it was a show for us tourists but what the heck they were cute and they looked the part. We found a cafe that was serving half priced coffee and sandwiches - a nice surprise as we didn't find out until the bill arrived.
