... down went flying to the back of the train.
we made our way up this rather steep mountain the Matterhorn was playing hide
& seek with us. Cameras were out the windows trying to get the best shots
and folk were just going mad.
of course was doing the same but then I thought I might as well sit and relax
as I will get loads of shots from the summit station!!! Big mistake, and how

... the pass it did not look good. Today it was overcast and for sure mighty cold.
As I negotiate the twists and turns up this pass its getting colder every mile. Soon a few drops of rain fell and then it turned to light snow and hail. A terrible freezing wind was blowing and looking at the road surface one could see the hailstones being blown across the surface making it rather slippery.
This pass road sure seemed far more twisty than what it seemed yesterday in all the mist. ...

... a bit light in their reds if you like the heavy Chateau Neuf de Pap types. The whites are crisp. Again if you like Pinot Grigio crisp citrus types, they don’t compare. We head toward Interlaken for a quick break before our last leg to Basel where we will join the Amadeus Elegant river boat.
