... cake, and he also brought olives out. All very scrumptious but he was very insistent that he bring Don a pasta dish of stucco. Lucky Don stuck to his guns and graciously refused. My pasta came out after he had presented an antipasto plate of mozzarella cheese, eggplant and pecorino cheese. They had a tasty orange chilli jam they make themselves. Then Don had an espresso and grappa to top the night off. They don't "do tea" lol. Off to bed Fat as ...

... souvenirs and panini for our fritters and headed to the montania. Again the roads were narrow, winding and steep. We found a spot to eat and the farmer came out to see what we were doing. Next stop the cemetery for nearly 2 hours. We saw graves of people who had names of people who settled into Biloela. Rinaldis, Zangari, Zavaglia, La Rosa, Ardonato, Scali, were all there. We then drove in the direction of Giosica Ionica and had a cornetto at a local shop. As we ...

When we arrived near Le Canella we took a wrong turn which we thought was right and headed up into the hills. ...

... local beach near Torre Canne. We walked for about 5 km return trip to the light house. The sand was more yellow and every 50 mt there was a Lido where you could hire umbrellas, lounge chairs and listen to disco music. We stopped for gelato in the town and by the time we walked back the African hawkers had gone for siesta. Tonight we were eating alfresco with bread, cheese olives, meat cut into chunks and peppers filled with cheese and tuna. Don's Italian at ...

Salerno

... our tables. We finished the night with drinks on the terrace before they made the dark journey up the hill to their accommodation. Our last day we caught the shuttle to Vietri then a bus to Salerno. You bought tickets $1.30 each way from the Tabachi shop. Once on the bus it was hang on tight as he weaver his way along the narrow streets. An older Iatalian lady told a man to take his bag off the seat so I could sit down. There ensued a lively ...
