Happy Australia Day! We said 'goodbye' to Colmar and headed for Eguisheim, a wonderful medieval town. We first visited Wolfberger winery, see photo, known for its fabulous Crement. They recommended I try Vintage Cellars to buy their products in Sydney, got one just up the road! You really feel you are in another world, the houses date from the 16th and 17th century and are set in streets that run in circles around the ...

Right in the main square. Brought a butter/pate knife at the outdoor market by the church, 10€. Had a fantastic lunch at Restaurant Bartholdi, he was the sculpture who designed the Statue of Liberty, ate duck with a beetroot and small red berries sauce, delicious, vegies were roasted fennel carrots turnip ...

We drove to the 1000 m above sea level point to view the lake, just amazing.

From there we drove through cobbled streets of Munster and headed to Colmar, we wanted to revisit the Statue of Liberty and this time not drive past but stop and take a photo.

... and Christ's healthy pink flesh shown in the resurrection panel would perhaps have given them hope in the midst of despair. I sincerely hope that it did. The panel portraying the "Temptation of St. Anthony" might have also moved the patients to consider that their suffering wasn't so bad after all, and that things could have been far worse!

We visited the Unterlinden Museum, but didn't spend much time there because it is undergoing renovation. As a result, several ...
