... our backpacks on exhausted and dying of thirst, we persisted and finally got to our hotel grateful but dreading the four flights of stairs we had to walk up.
we made it to our room introduced ourselves to a Mexican girl sharing our room and got ready to set up camp for two days:)

then we got set for a nice sleep and ready to explore Madrid the very next morning.

... from Chamartin station to Atocha station as we will need to do this tomorrow. On the train timetable boards it showed 3 Atocha stations so I asked the nearest girl who couldn't understand English. An American lady, who has been in Spain since 1976 and still has her accent, then came to help me saying that it was fine to take any of the 3. We sat together and had a nice chat. She got out a station before me.
