Overnight we cruised from Tunis to Palma de Mallorca arriving about midday and after having lunch we took the shuttle bus to get us into the centre of town. We had considered walking as they were charging €25 for a return for two which we thought expensive for a 10 minute bus ride. However it is a captured market and it was a good walk. Maybe a taxi would be no more expensive. Maybe we will try that next time! The shuttle dropped us near the centre of Mallorca and ...

... hope I will always remember it. Climbing back up from the coast was just as fun and at points it really felt like we were in the clouds and on top of the mountains. We had a great view of the sunset from the mountains. When back to Palma, I took James to the Mexican place from a few weeks ago (tapas is great, but I'm starting to look like patatas bravas...!). A great end to a lovely ...

Not sure how this would go down back in the West Country! After a few cider ...

I can't stand it any longer. I finally strike up a conversation with a couple next to us, and we share lots of funny stories about our travels through the island. We got our best laugh when we told them we were off to Ibiza next. They couldn't quite picture us dancing on tables I guess.

Conclusion: And I Would Ride 10,000 Miles

... other hand I'm actually not sure if I would have been able to afford this trip at all if I'd had to buy a bike, as I would have been out of pocket at least $6000 until it sold. John's been talking about getting a bunch of additional work done to the bike, including fixing some damage that was already there, so I'll harass him to pay my share of that bill when it comes in. Perhaps the most important thing is to show some special appreciation for the people ...
