Arrived in Cusco about 6 in the morning. We were all shattered and had to look for a hostel looking like we´d been dragged through a hedge backwards. Most of the places we tried first were either booked up or fairly ******. Edd and Lou then found a nice enough little place called Hostel Resbalosa about 4 million breath robbing steps from the main Plaza. Cusco is over three thousand metres above sea level and it was absolutley amazing how it makes you feel to walk up a few steps with a backpac...

This week I had my final three days teaching the children at Chachani Village near Arequipa from the Monday to the Wednesday ... I can´t believe a month in Arequipa has gone by so quickly and it was rather sad to be leaving both the kids and the volunteer house behind . Slept in pretty late on the Wed morning as I was so tired after the trek , not surfacing until about mid-day. Met up at lunchtime for some food with Ulli , my German amigo , who was still in Cuzco after rafting & Machu Picchu trips but leaving later that day. Awoke to not so stiff legs fortunately. Had to check out of our hostal and move into another one just down the street. We had a late lunch at a cafe which would not be out of place in Wellington. Here we met up with the Irish girls from the Inca Trail. Yay! We visited San Blas church which was the first church in Cusco. It was built over an Incan sanctuary in the 16th century. Budíme se opět před čtvrtou, tentokrát je to ale dobře, protoze musíme na letistě. Taxikář je příjemný děda, ani nám nevadí, ze dveře auta se zavírají kusem drátu. Snídáme na letisti v Dunkin Donuts a odlétáme přesně načas. Po hodině letu nad Andami, kdy uz začínáme dole hledat Cuzko, se dozvídáme, ze v cíli naseho letu je spatné počasí a ze přistaneme v Arequipě. Nás plán nejet směrem Pisco - Arequipa -...

Ráno vstáváme poměrně brzo, vlak nám jede v ... (lístky koupené uz v Ollaytaytambu, za ...). V Ollay uz čeká dobrých dvacet mikrobusů, naháněči se můzou přetrhnout, i kdyz jejich snaha je poměrně zbytečná, protoze snad vsechny autobusy se naplní a cena je vsude stejná(?). My si vybíráme jeden, který veze spíse domorodce, navíc od nádrazí vyjízdíme jako jedni z prvních a díky výkonnému autobusu ostatní cestou předjízdíme. Do Cuzka se ...
