... Cathedral had at least 26 side altars. If you ever want to see the excess of wealth in the Catholic Church this is one good example. I know the construction gave the people work but I'm sure the church didn't pay them well for their labor. The construction began in the 13th century and continued right until the 20th century. The facade wasn't completed until the 19th century.

Winds have moderated so we have swells of only 4 to 6 feet, so the pool has now settled down. We have switched to the main dining lounge. Blu was just ...

How lucky are we! We have arrived unscathed, in good condition and still happy. The journey was uneventful, interesting and very long. Well that is the end of my blog!

    THE GOOD
We worked out the mystery of duty free shopping (in Adelaide). Wow fantastic prices - although the penalties are stiff if you go over the limit! The man had to tell us gently to put some some of it back on the shelves or we would pay dearly!! Must remember ...

We started the day with a little cafe near the apartment where locals go. We had teas and some sandwiches. It was ok, nothing special to write about, I guess. Now we're off to today's adventure. To where? El Raval district! ...that is right next to the area we explored yesterday. As Joan said, around that part of the city, there are so many things to see and you would easily need a week!

So we marched down the famous La ...
