I think there can be up to 300 trekkers each day but the week we were there it was closer to 200 (still a lot though and you never feel like you are alone in the bush). The hardest day was definitely the second day because you climb for 4 hours, up almost 1000m to 4200m, back down 700m, up another 500m and down again ...

Yesterday we took a bus to Pisac. The market there on Sundays is huge. It was so big we got lost in it. Then we went up to the inca ruins and terraces which were absolutely amazing. We hiked around for hours. It got pretty difficult at times, because of the altitude, but it was worth it. I wish I could describe it in words, but you´ll just have to wait for pictures. Sorry!
