With Semana Santa finished I figured the driving would be smooth from here on out. Funny thing...it turns out most Mexicans get the entire week off following the holy week. Great, looks like another week of crowded destinations. At least the drive to Acapulco was smooth, wide and vacant of traffic....until I was within 30 miles. Sailing down the Mexico Coast

A travel blog entry by cazzah on Apr 18, 2014

Seeing as I was expecting a big night, then decided to start on the beers a little ...

... 70mph most of the way but now Andy is in lead and sometimes he's down to 45mph and is extremely slow on the curves. Finally John and I overtake Andy as at the speed he's going we will never get to our destination.

We have done about 60miles since the stop to repair Andy's tire and so we stop in Pta Maldonado to fill our tanks once again. Its a lovely big seaside town and has some wonderful beach complexes. I tried to get the chaps to find a restaurant on ...
