... and we needed the shade. As we set up, it didn't take long to realize we would have plenty of wildlife viewing opportunities. Our neighbors filled us in on the seal sanctuary just a short walk from the site and told us they'd seen numerous dolphins and whales the previous day. We had just landed ourselves in paradise! ... incredibly lucky with the weather for the entire drive up the coast, as we were blessed with bright blue skies every day. We all instantly loved the feel of Santa Barbara, from the beautiful hotel we were staying in to the old-fashioned street trolleys and attractive shopping streets, it was gorgeous.
