    ... mimicked Actaeon's voyeuristic tendencies when watching Dianne and her Nymphs bathe because there was an actual woman inside the bathroom bathing as we were walking through and "viewing" the exhibit. This might have been the most strangely memorable art exhibit/experience we saw during the whole trip.

    ... the dish Thurs. evening and it isi like a shrimp stir fry with green peppers but instead of rice it is served wth cornmeal and that is what grits is! I admit I never knew that. The owner was waiting on me and she said the paper had come and interviewed her a couple of weeks ago and tasted the dish but she hadn't read the article yet and I was the first person to have mentioned reading it.     ... and I was rebooked on a flight about an hour later (10am) through Detroit, with no change of plane. As on now (8PM) the flight is on time and I have about a 7-hour connection in Los Angeles, so I’m still optimistic.

    I guess for today’s parting shot, just a reminder that when traveling we need to be flexible, allow for the unexpected, and hope for the best.
