... the residents aren't much better. Half the town, at least is in ghost town decline; doesn't seem to be any industry except tourism, meaning mainly casinos. Pathetic. But there is an interesting historic railroad museum that still operate both the diesel and steam trains that were essential for transporting ore, and now caters to tourists who like to ride the rails. It is now a rock glacier but still interesting. Only large wildlife spotted were deer and turkey. A park with a lot of variety, but be warned- the only real civilization is about 100 miles away. Now back to Utah for its last two Nat. ...

... into the Ruby Marsh area for the next days ride was 2+ hours on dirt roads and over a pass. I was going to do Duck Miles and start at the halfway point, so we stayed at the Eureka Fairgrounds and the horses got to stay overnight in the smaller arena. They were really happy to be turned loose. We took long showers and prepared for the next day.

Really like staying at this fairground. The horses do to. Until tomorrow, Brenda
