... and Clodge then made 'Bangers and Mash'. Bangers and Mash is a really wonderful food. The Bangers are sausages and the Mash is mashed potatoes. This is all served together with onion gravy over the top. It's a wonderful savory dish and was quite filling. After stuffing myself with delicious homemade cooking the four of us played a couple of games of Uno. After Uno, Sally and opted for heading home for the night.

Woke hearing the ringing of church bells from Holy Trinity for the 6am and 8.30 am services – such a lovely sound!!. Lay in and read for awhile before heading out to Kenilworth Castle (about 20 mins. away) with Stephen & Michele. Cost 4 pounds 95 for me and 2 pounds 50p for Nathan (total $17.50)

We had thought to bring spare shoes with us to change into but hadn’t thought about spare jeans. Nathan had mud up the inside of his legs past his knees and so we made him strip down to his undies to get into the car. My jeans were wet and muddy, at least the bottom 8 ...

Woke up 3 am and dozed until 6am and then got up. Nathan slept until 8 am. Michele made us all porridge for breakfast. This morning we did a 2 hour walk around Stratford with Stephen. We went to Holy Trinity church where Shakespeare was baptised and buried. We had a look inside and read some of the old tombstones. We walked along the river and saw swans and ...

... Castle is huge and imposing. We walked around cute little streets and went to a tearoom and had tea with scones and jam. Nathan had a hot chocolate with whipped cream. Took a photo of this really crooked shop. Drove the 1-1/2 hours to Stratford. Nathan fell asleep the last ½ hour. Stratford looks very cute in the dark. Stephen is walking distance to the river Avon and town centre and lives at 22 ...

... really beautiful houses here, many still with thatched roofs. (BevNote: Apparently it is law that, if you purchase a home with a thatched roof, you must replace it, when needed, with another thatched roof.) The weather has been mild and a bit damp. The gardens here are fantastic. Supposedly, they are kept the same as they were ...

We spent a few hours with David in his tiny house before going for a stroll on The Green, which had long ago been an earthen fort. We eventually left to seek accommodation for the night. The hotel Christopher had in mind proved to be a disappointment (too expensive) so we drove all the way to Chepstow, which, much to my surprise, was in Wales ...
