Steve and me arrived in Nha Trang, the beach bum destination for backpackers in Vietnam. We arrived at the bus travel agency office, as I knew I had a day to kill in Nha Trang I decided to take a boat tour around the surrounding islands of Nha Trang. Whilst waiting to get picked up for my tour Steve and me indluged in breakfast whilst enjoying a leisurely game of Jenga at the table. My sleeper bus arrived and a 30 ...
Nha Trang, Khánh Hòa, Vietnam leehorscraftShe was going to throw herself off the 4th floor balcony if I didn't do something. I'm not kidding.

I firmly believe that we reap what we sow. The Karmic Law of the Universe. So, I'm surprised that I find myself in such a situation. Really, I would say I'm about even when it comes to breaking hearts and having mine broken. Apparently I'm either paying for past errors, or I'm banking for the future.

It would be much more fun to be ...
Nha Trang, Vietnam francesco0... HUMONGOUS irreversible mistake !!!

The first indication that this would be the trip from hell was that the damn thing was an hour and a half late and no one bothered to explain why that was or when it would come. When it did come, it was filthy and practically full. The bunks were so narrow one couldn't turn to the left or to the right. And of course, there is no toilet to speak of, only a bunch of locals who gargle constantly ...
Nha Trang, Vietnam bebabui... a lifejacket (the lazymans way to snorkel) we float around seeing coral. To be honest we saw loads of coral just by snorkeling, and while we were not as close as we would've been while snorkeling it was dam good. After helping ourself to a another hearty Vietnamese meal (loads of dishes, ideal for me) we learn that it's happy hour! So the boat's crew dress up in grass skirts and coconut bras (all men..) and start playins such classics as a bit of Boyzone...
Well ...

Ho Chi Minh City, Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam chudu24... Very bizarre indeed. People here seem a lot more ready to take your money than in Laos or Cambodia, we got absolutely ripped off by the taxi on our way to the hotel. Then off for some frozen yoghurt before a wander home... the others went off to the museum & to sight see the city. Dinner was true back packer styley at the market before bedding down for a lovely long sleep in our luxury budget accommodation!
Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam sheilajortw... if you light up and if you test positive (which I assume means your body temperature is too high) they quarantine you. It’s all very organized. This masked entrẻ continued as we drove into Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon). This is the land of motorcycles – Ugandan “boda bodas” have nothing on the Vietnamese scooter. I have never seen so many masked people on scooters in my life people. It is really a ...

Then the tower herb plate, this was enormous, the largest I have seen (36"), piled high with lettuces, mustard leaf, basil, fish mint, water celery, perilla, lemon balm, spinach. Another plate with thin dried rice sheets, not the frozen, sticky spring roll sheets from your neighborhood thai joint, these were freshly steamed and dried ...
Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam jpikusThey really know how to do wine and food festivals here. After paying your 10 USD all the wine and food was free. So for 4 hours I got ****** on some strange Australian wines. I recommend the Sparkling Shiraz from, gee I don't remember. The Arlequin reds were also good.
Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam conrad.bear... it didn't make it.

A rather sheepish guide eventually walked up to me at about 5:45am (by which time my face had turned a darker shade of purple), apologised and asked us to walk with him to the office. I was having none of it, asking what was going on, why they hadn't ...
