All is good out on the open road, we are each settling into our daily routine and daily responsibilities, john's in charge of making coffee and building camp fires, I am in charge of the water filter and basically knowing where everything is...."Jackie! We decided to pass up the little spur trail off to the right near the beginning of the trail and hit that on the way back. We made it all the way to the end of the gorge trail at the top of the stairs of the Upper Entrance in 45 min and back to our starting point at the main entrance at 10 AM (with 80 pictures and movies on the camera).

Unless you want the exercise or need to use the bathroom, the only thing to see past the Mile Point is ...

... falls for about five minutes, allowing you to experience the falls cascading down around you. It is awe inspiring to stand at the bottom and look up as millions of gallons of Lake Ontario flow over the edge 200 feet above you and cascade onto the rocks located only fifty yards from where you are standing. You get soaked. You are deafened by the sound. And you want to do it again as soon as it's over!
