This covers the last 2 months of so. I have one more trip south to pick up the final load of stuff. I have put the Before & After Pictures at the end, feel free to skip the yammering and just have a look should you be so inclined... it's been quite a ride!

We arrived Monday night after a tiring 13-hour trip. Our little trailer was right at maximum weight, so we needed to avoid steep grades. Dave said the Miata ...

This report is short, but I plan to have a follow up at the end of the month.

The intent was to get the floors done this trip. Sadly, it rained 5 of the seven days we were there and laying bamboo flooring is not a good thing to do when it is that damp. So, instead…. Needless to say, there will be no weight lost on this trip…

My new little kitchen space has worked out very nicely, and I am considering pulling out ...

... has really helped us a lot! Dave is a genius, but this is all new to him, so it is great that we have an expert just a phone call away. Next step is hardy board on the bathroom floor and then laying the tile. Everything takes longer than expected, but that is just par for the course here.

My neighbor Harry Jr. gave us some amazing homemade sauce made from his homegrown tomatoes, peppers, onions and garlic; I cooked it up with some fish his ...

... around. Sadly, he almost went apoplectic doing so…Still, it is almost done and when he finishes, it WILL be beautiful, and it will work properly to boot!

We have been working on this place for the last 4 years, and I sometimes despaired of ever getting it done, but it is finally beginning to look like a house. At least inside, the outside is another issue, but all things in good time. I hope that by the end of this trip we will finish the laundry room and the ...
