Today's route was a loop around the island with some significant climbing. The elevation change we go up to is 3799 feet. We started the day out in the van to avoid some very steep grades up the mountain. The bikers who did it said it was the toughest start they have done. ... It is just peaceful. Located at the bottom of Masca mountain range in the middle of no where but people somehow built their houses on the edge of the ciffs and managed to survive, managed to create and settle their lives there and I think that's what is overwhelming. Also the road through Masca mountains is very narrow and dangerous. But that's what was great as I love to feel adrenaline.
