    ... It took a couple days to do the necessary work behind the dash. The radio didn't work and they were not able to figure out what it's problem was, except that there was a massive wad of wires that couldn't be traced. Going to have to buy a new radio for the trip.

    Other problems consisted of non-working parking brake lever, replacing the gear shift lever, replacing the headlights with halogen lights for brighter nite vision and adding a driving light and ...

    ... would bring up the subject of a road trip cross country to Corvallis. Eventually, the car club hosting MG-2013 announced there would, indeed, be an organized tour. It would start in Independence, MO on July 11 and roughly follow the Oregon Trail with overnite stops in Kearney, NE, Douglas, WY, Kemerer, WY, Twin Falls, ID, Pendleton, OR and finishing in Corvallis on July 16. So now we have the makings of a vacation!

    ... like I have known these people for years. I guess that should be expected when you're eating lunch and dinner with the same people, often hanging out between and afterwards, but it still amazes me. For those of us who live in the US, seeing each other again isn't an impossible task, even though we're spread out from Salt Lake City to Philadelphia.
