Hello again everybody. The latest edition is coming to you from Hanoi. We finally made it to the capital city, after logging 35 hours of train travel, most of it at night! We came to Hanoi to check out the city obviously, but also to book a tour to the famous Halong Bay. Wahnsinn auf zwei Rädern
... und ist eigentlich nur in Hanoi, weil er sich von einem Unfall erholen musste, bei dem er sich den kleinen Zeh gebrochen hat. Bei dem Unfall war er allerdings nur Mitfahrer und sein eigenes Motorrad, das er vor wenigen Tagen gebraucht in Hanoi gekauft hat, ist er noch nicht wirklich oft gefahren. Am nächsten Tag wollte er aber eine kleine Tour außerhalb von Hanoi machen und je länger wir redeten desto besser fand ich die Idee..

Seemas City Overview - Hanoi

We spent the night in a boat with a tour group and made friends with two couples from Europe and some local students which was nice and we had our meals together etc. It was quite funny when the boat staff provided all the westerners with knives and forks as opposed to the chopsticks that everyone else had. Final Vietnamese Stop!
... the room with Uncle Ho's body - very strange!! Don't think I've ever been in a marble tomb with a corpse that looks like it could sit up before. After that we walked to the Ho Lao prison which was really good and informative - although slightly scary to walk around the cells by yourself in the dark. We took a break for some ice cream (good and posh, but probably overpriced) at Fanny's - which is apparently well-known. ...
