I got sick. Real sick. So instead of going into Washington DC the past two days I have been sleeping. And sleeping. Watching tv. More sleeping. Eating. Sleeping. You get the point.

I just woke up Thursday and my throat was all swollen, had a hard time breathing and my whole body ached. Threw up. Fever.

While we waited for a table we were entertained by some man who appeared to have been drinking there most of the day. He was temporarily very happy. We had a great time with Craig again catching up on old times and returned to his home to see the puppies one last time before calling it a day.

... I didn't actually walk the trail yet, but I did stop into some of the local businesses, such as Pfeiffer's hardware store. Not only did I need nails, but also Pfeiffer's (and some of the other shops) had joined in on the celebration by offering free cider to anyone who came in. I was really tempted to try the pupusas being offered at one of the local restaurants too, but decided I was just go home for some soup. And now I wish I lived in Mt. Pleasant.
