We loved this spot. Clean, pretty quiet by the standards of the street and the lady running the place was exceptionally kind.

We loved our stay at the Happy Inn. Everything was exactly as described on the website - no surprises. Mrs. Thi shook her head at our itinerary and told us to contact her next time and she would save us much time and money. The location is great - very central. There must be a thousand restaurants within a few square blocks. The few that we were able to try were really good. We would most definitely stay there again. We got the VIP room with a terrace which was great but I'm sure any of the rooms would have been fine.

We slept in, walked around the city. Found the markets and I bought some **** for our beautiful relatives back home. We bought a very pretty chess board made from bone and buffalo horn. We went and sat in the park and played chess, a lady came along and gave me a manicure for $2 and painted my nails bright green at my request. We went to a very …

Saigon
They’ve really streamlined the process of getting from Phnom Penh to Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) since I was there seven years ago. Back then it meant catching a bus in Cambodia to the border, crossing on foot while waiting in line for an hour in the blazing sun, and then getting bullied into a minibus on the Vietnam side for a harrowing, full …
The roads really aren't that bad in Ho Chi Minh!

With some trepidation we arrived in Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon). We'd been told many things about this place by friends and colleagues who'd been here, mostly revolving around the insane roads. Apparently the place is overrun with traffic that weaves in and out across the large roads, often using pavements as short cuts and ignoring any …
