... still retains its historic roots. Today there are restaurants, art galleries and everything in between. We watched a hive of activity this morning as cargo ships entered the channel, trucks unloaded everything from liquids to clean linens to food supplies. We admired a sleek steely gray fibreglass yacht and watched tugboats bring in a cargo ship holding approximately 450 plus containers above deck. A lot of Chinese goods!

... Thunderbolt Marina due to its notorious 7 foot tides. Fortunately, the docks were floating docks so we would not have to fool with the lines once we tied up. Rather, we would just float in tandem with the docks. (We have become a big fan of the floating docks with all these tides.) What we did not know was whether or not we would be able to remain on Calliope due to the leak. ... ordered food from the brewery and ate and drank, until it was time to meet up with those going out for drinks. We meet up at the hotel and walked down the road to the social club, where we had a few more drinks, shots, played pool, had fun, had a
few more drinks. Then as the place was about to close we left and stumbled back to the hotel, with the hope of going to five guys for a late night snack, but they were closed. So it was back to the hotel and to bed.

... beer, is food - I had the best pizza so far this trip - thick, juicy and full of toppings - we then got talking to a Nashville couple and me and Janos again recounted our journey across the states and future trips whilst they talked about Antarctica - I'm not sure how that happened.
