... We parked in a super rich area of town where I am sure our van got snooty looks and walked down to the campus. It was not the nicest day outside once again but the campus was very pretty. Woke to another glorious day. Checked the Amtrak website to discover that our train may be late as there was a lot of freight trains on the line. But it was still due to depart on time. We checked out if the hotel, wandered down to get a coffee then back to collect our bags for the 10 minute walk to the station. The broad ranging discussions, without the constraints of being on a small bus, resulted in a very informative and enjoyable day.

Six and 1/2 hour drive...not too bad. we stayed on the American side which is a state park. Lots of walking but we hopped a trolley cuz we got totally lost. Beautiful grounds but lots of construction going on. We were able to get real close to the falls from this side. Canadian side is more manicured and has lots of shops and restaurants. There were fireworks right outside our bedroom window that looked like they were coming right at us. ...
