The dinner venue was the Juke Joint which serves southern food combined with live jazz and soul music. The service was very poor and slow however the food was good, music great and the people really very friendly. We had multiple people say hello to us, welcome us to Atlanta and wish us well on our travels. We met, who we would later learn, was the owner who took a shine to the girls and even shouted ...
... car return and it was time for dinner.
We walked 30mins to midtown to a fantastic southern style restaurant called Mary Mac's Tea Rooms which was established in 1945. Great southern food; fried chicken, shrimp and grits, cheese and vegetable soufflé, mac 'n' cheese (but not as you know it). A rather popular restaurant as we understand it.
We look forward to exploring Atlanta tomorrow.

Day 22 - Wednesday 22nd August We arrived in Atlanta at about 1.20pm today, a d got a taxi to our hotel. Days when we move to a different city are a bit rubbish because by the time we have checked in and unpacked, it's too late to do anything except in the evening. We walked to Wendy's (like McDonalds) ...
... next day, but that is not the case. The truth that I will not return for awhile always fails to hit me until I get on that plane to leave, but by that time it is too late.
Well, it's only a week here in Atlanta. Saying goodbyes to good friends and preparing for the next chapter of this adventure! Luckily, Atlanta has fast internet! Au Revoir! (I've been practicing my french).
Plane count? 8!
