... for all the duty free shopping on board, prices were very, very good. Every ferry has a shop, and they run frequently.

... Stralsund. This is a Heritage listed Hanseatic town and well worth stopping at. Small and compact and an easy walk around. More huge churches, cobbled street, tall Hansa houses and two excellent street singers. We had a fantastically good sausage at a busy cafe where the locals were queued for meals. ... hospital during WWII. There were very lavish state rooms, reception rooms, the throne room etc. When we got to Malchow, our hotel was on the canal in a delightful small village.
