Once the tour had finished, we headed off to find a Gondola. This was lovely, and I'm glad we did it, but I was sad that the Gondolier didn't sing, and only pointed out one bridge and told us it was 500 years old... (at least, I think that's what he said...)! ... that they had only Bermudas in stock so bye, before he literally turned his back on us! Insane....but amusing.

In Venice, I have to say that even with Darren's expert navigation skills we still managed to get a bit lost each time and not take the same route twice! Luckily Darren loves this sort of thing. I'd still be wondering round now still trying to get back. We all have our strengths.

... spicy salami. Chorizo I guess. Not sure what Jeff had. Each person got their own 16" pizza. Thin crust. I also traded a piece for Darren's whatchamacallit pizza. Several veggies including pumpkin. All delicious. After dinner a few people went back but most of us did a night walk to the tip of Venice. Looong walk. Great sites along the way. Back now.
