... seemed to have a little pumpkin spice in it! I enjoyed huge ravioli stuffed with cottage cheese and mint (definitely homemade and soooo delish...really like a combination between perogies and pasta...I was in heaven). We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and sat for a long while after dinner sipping wine and dreaming of our future when we return home to Canada. Since it was Saturday night and we are such party animals we walked past all of the happening night clubs and headed straight for ...

... While we were there a priest was saying mass for a school. There were 2 nuns among the teachers. Part of the church floor is very uneven due to subsidence and is closed off. ... a bite to eat there also.
Did a canal ride on the vaporetto (public transport) around the island of Venice and through the grand canal, St Marks square and back to our hotel which is on the grand canal just near the piazza Roma (a good spot to be), nice Hotel as well.
Will do the Gondola thing tomorrow and few other sights and will sadly leave all this behind on sunday for the trip home.
We will catch up on our return.....

Oh yeah, we ate gelato twice....of course!!! By-the-way, you can chide us later, but we didn't ever go on the water. So, no gondola rides or vaporetto. We found it enjoyable just to wander the streets and bridges. Tomorrow - Pompeii!!! Taylor will be happy because there won't be any ...

Buongiorno! What is it about Venice that is so captivating? Is it the picturesque canals? The lovely calles/alleys? The squares or Piazzas?...... that Laura insisted we just 'sit in for because they are our living rooms in Venice!' Is it the aimless wandering and interesting discoveries at every turn? The fondamentas? The variety of pontes/bridges? Old churches, monuments and fountains every where? I can say that ...
