We knew it would be chilly this morning, but warm by afternoon, and we also planned to get off the bike to see some of the sights of Yellowstone National Park, so dressing for the day was a bit of a challenge. We settled on shorts covered by chaps, and a long sleeve shirt covered with a leather jacket. It was about 55 when we left Wapiti, but that …

it's probably not called a field but not sure what ...

Woke up to frost on the windshield and a sluggish water pump but a beautiful cold, crisp morning. Got going by 9:30 or so and stopped at Moose to gas up. Chatted at the pump with two young men from Israel. They’re travelling until at least December. Suggested they come to Canada and apparently that's the plan.

Driving through Grand Tetons NP is a pleasure. The road follows alongside the mountains on a flat ...

        ... looks like a dinosaur.

Tux wears this thing on his collar that electrically opens a dog door from the garage to the house so he can go in and out when he wants to. He showed me that if I follow right behind him I can get in too, because there is a little delay before the door closes. It didn’t work the first few times, but I have visited him twice before and we’ve got the routine down ...
