... and rode the rapids. Lots of Bald Eagles (and also saw osprey) hanging out along water's edge. Very pretty...very remote...no people at all. Strange to see no deer.... (overcast and rainy...a bit chilly)

Nach ungefähr 70km kamen die Coast Mountains in Sichtweite. Die schneebedeckte Barriere in der Ferne galt es in den nächsten Tagen zu überwinden. Aber ersteinmal war ein kurzer Abstecher in südlicher Richtung geplant, zum Tatlayoko Lake Valley.

... like the tree growing on top of the building, the idea being that the top of this tree is at the same height as the trees in Vancouver were before the English arrived and began logging. We left the tourist highway that goes through the NP from Jasper to Banff, on what we thought was a bright sunny day, then we hit thick fog that came out of nowhere as we headed through the pass......we were moving towards the less well known parks.
