... found the rice crackers with black sesame seeds that Trader Joe's no longer seems to carry. Trader Joe's people - if you need a contact to start stocking them again please let me know. ... a hot soup of sliced pork and soba noodles which was much better than mine. After lunch we worked our way to the pier and got on the boat for a cruise on the lake. The cruise boat was shaped like a pirate ship which was fun. Mount Fuji had totally cleared up when we were on the boat which made for great view and great pictures. ... WW1 and WW2. There were a LOT of steps. But when I finally got to the top, I was rewarded with one of the most iconic views of Japan, Chureito Pagoda with Mt. Fuji in the distance. Sure, it may look even nicer when the cherry blossoms are in bloom, but it was pretty amazing. I took way too many pictures. hehe. ... our 'regional' train to Hakone. From the station it was about a half hour drive to the cable car, not unlike driving the windy roads of Mt Buffalo. Unfortunately the cable car was not running but we were happy with our day's activities. First to the shrine where the cedar trees were huge.
