We booked a shuttle bus to get to Kuta, but when we got picked up we got told that we would be getting taken in a private taxi instead for no extra charge! Lovely jubbly!! we arrived mid afternoon and went for a walk to try's and find ourselves somewhere to stay and managed to find a really nice beach inn with a pool for only £3.50 each a …

The Forrest was amazing, crazy plants out there like the Pandanis, ".."................. Monkeys roaming in the trees in lower sections too.

Soon the Forrest path got steeper and steeper and slippery as well and the stops were very much welcome. Water (sweat) was streaming off us and I was ever so greatful for my trusty walking poles.

As we left this morning it was sad to say goodbye to Tom and Rob c who are heading to back to Germany having coming to the end of their 5 month adventure but also exciting to be moving on to yet another new place full of hope and expectation, Ubud Bali. ... entry gate, bananas are being sold - or borrowed not to be returned - by the monkeys who can sneak and grab fast enough...which occurred while we were there. These monkeys, although friendly still had a purpose in mind so if they could figure out that you had food, you were a target. They would climb on you and happily eat from your hand. They were quite nervous though and two people were peed on...needless to say, we had no bananas so ...
