... me very nervous). Stopped at Hearst Castle but couldn't look at the tours had ended for the day. Arrived in Morro bay around 5:30pm and cheeks in to the Holiday inn ($71 + tax a night) very nice room with king bed, I was very excited. Has a bit of a rest then walked down to the water for some tea. Watched the sun set behind the rock which was beautiful, then enjoyed dinner and walked back to the hotel. Sleep ...

... and then just sat and enjoyed the view.
After recovering my truck from the wedding site, I joined the family for breakfast. We enjoyed a wonderful breakfast at Frankie and Lola's Front Street Cafe in Morro Bay.
The rest of the day was spent relaxing and enjoying the California sun at Rob's house. All in all, a great day. Life is good. ...

... with the drought it’s low water and we had to cross the creek several times… I wonder what you do, when there is more water. But we made it and ended up with a little scrambling at some nice 100 ft high waterfall cascading down the rock.

And before leaving we had to quick check out the ocean and the nice rocks.

... at all the sandwiches. I even got a piece of apple pie to go as my evening snack! Back to the room, about 7pm by now, so we asked at the desk about any shopping nearby. We walked about 10 min to a Target store and picked up a few toiletries we were running low on and then back to the room. Then just sitting and watching TV and letting alllllll that food digest. Also managed to do a little bit of laundry.

... we headed off towards Hearst Castle! A famous owner of several newspapers in the early 1900's-1950 called William Hearst built a hugemungus castle on a favourite piece of family land. It has 185 rooms, 2 pools and a tennis court. Not to mention the 7 guest houses! He was an art collector and teamed up with a fabulous architect to create a beautiful estate, that now is a famous tourist attraction. We had a guided tour and then had time ...
