      ... we changed our plans and went east towards Somerset. We were on Highway 21 but later we turned onto smaller roads which were still called highways. Highway 653 did not even have a middle line!

      ... the windshield wipers … and I thought I’d never get there.

      However, by the time I crossed the Mason-Dixon line into Maryland, the sky had cleared although it was still windy.
