... good job we kept checking! Although it wouldn't been a very cheap journey to Warsaw just a few weeks too late!

I really enjoyed my time in Prague but I'm very glad the sun came out for the last day so that my memories of it aren't all wet! Prague, however, remains a wintery place in my imagination and I'd love to return - though this time better equipped with hats, scarves and a winter coat!

After the tour, on our own, we went to the Jewish Center and visited the synagogue. It was a highly recommended attraction, but left Mom and I underwhelmed and feeling a bit ripped off. The building was not that spectacular on the inside and was very small. Not worth the price of admission. The best part of the Jewish Quarter was the peek ...

... road is a very short amount of time. To be fair, they do at least swerve a bit to miss you. Cigarettes are even cheaper in Prague than in Germany (about €3 a packet), so lots of butts and matches everywhere. There are more people begging here than in Berlin. Ed was watching one man with what appeared to be a sick dog which was lying in the street - that is until a car approached and tooted and the man whistled and ...

... someone will be up in 5 minutes to fix the drain. Half an hour later, I am incredibly mad, two men show up. They have so far spent 30 minutes in the bathroom and we can tell so far that no success has come. Great. Soon after, an older lady with grey hair and glasses shows up and fixes the shower drain. Ha. I happily take my long awaited shower! We decide to spend the afternoon wandering around (as we lost half the day waiting for the shower). We go up the main street and look in ...
