Sydney At Last!
When I started this 'walkabout' back in September (UK – Thailand – Australia), Sydney seemed like a distant dream. Now, for better or worse, it’s here; I’m here. However, being in Sydney has two drawbacks:
a) I’m coming to the end of my ‘walkabout’, and
b) I’m virtually out of money …
Mate!...
The last couple of days I'd not been well. I’d had (and still have though to a much lesser degree) a very stiff neck. I don’t know why – it could have been because of the different pillows I’d been sleeping on; it could have been from the bus journey; it could even have been from looking up at the tall buildings in Sydney. …
Pickled Canadian + McNuggets = Heaven
After our successful trail-blazing efforts in the Blue Mountains, our marathon dash to Sydney was about to reach its end. We crossed the finish line later that same afternoon -- indeed, if you were to consider the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge as the finish line then we actually crossed it three times!! Our New Year Celebrations!
Thursday 27th December 2005 We slept for most of the coach journey to Sydney and arrived at the central station an hour earlier than we expected. He didn't say it in …

TravelPod Member ReviewsGlenferrie Lodge Kirribilli
Great location (just by Killibirri wharf) and great breakfasts. However, it doesn't really have the budget traveller in mind, as there are no cooking facilities. Try as hard as I might, there was just no way that I could eat enough at breakfast to keep me going for 24 hours... believe me! If eating out isn't a problem, then I have no hesitation in recommending the Lodge, however if you do have budgetary constraints, then I suggest you look elsewhere.
