... is due to board here in a couple hours. The flight is only six hours and we did manage to score exit row seats so taking the red-eye shouldn't be TOO bad.

As a true test of our spontaneity we only have a car rental lined up in Iceland (dun dun dun) and we plan to just wing it when it comes to a nice bed and breakfast somewhere out in the countryside ...

Today has been a very quiet and restful day. After breakfast at cousin Cindy's house, we took off to the Minneapolis Institute of Arts to see a Matisse exhibit that is on tour here. These pieces were part of a collection owned by the Cone sisters from Baltimore and upon their death were given to the Baltimore Museum of Art. ...

... and ran into the Mississippi river and found a place to skip stones. I found a waterfall too!

I like it here, but know I must travel further West soon. I possibly have a ride leaving Friday morning that will take me well into South Dakota. We shall see. Ok I am going to try to add some pictures to the entries I've already written since I have the luxury of being on a mac computer right now. Adios for now...

... especially for Andy, who has come from an unusually hot UK. We set off again and walk towards the river and historic district. When it starts raining....fast, we turn around again for the hotel for jeans, sturdier footwear and coats. Minneapolis has a system of skywalks which link the buildings in Downtown so that people can live, go to work, shop and eat without going outside ( their winters must be bad!!!).
