... Snapple and trail mix. He's a top bloke.Upon arrival in Cleveland, it seemed that we would be staying in a rough part of town. There were several derelict buildings and a run down feel to the neighbourhood but despite how often the residents reminded us that we were 'in the hood' everyone we came across, bar none, was incredibly friendly and welcoming.

... got into our cars, the lightening, thunder and wind started. We where in the center of a Severe Thunderstorm. Winds up to 70 mph and sheets of rain, raining sideways, we could not see where we were going, so Kenny with Matt's help found a few large semi trucks that where parked together, to hid behind as a buffer to the wind. ... the border making our way slowly across the states. The US felt so special. We could finally be in wild spaces without being afraid. There was no longer that persistent threat of banditos coming to rob us because we were foreigners. I could go running by myself along isolated paths and not be stared at or hooted at.
