... br> From camp, we got on I-64 and headed west toward Waynesboro. We saw the sign for the Blue Ridge Parkway and although we would be going south, we turned north into the Shenandoah National Park because it was easier to get a map at the ranger station than drive south to the Visitor Center. By the time we got turned around and headed south, it was 10:45 a.m. The scenery was beautiful with a few fall colors beginning to show and we were enjoying ...

... walk to the top of the falls where an old grist mill and water wheel are located. We had to go past the mill and take a steep path to the creek and then rock-hop back up to get to the base for some pictures. For being in a city park, it’s a rather nice waterfall. We got some pictures of the waterfall and the old mill then headed back up. It was a just a short drive into Morganton for dinner at Las Salsas, then made our way ...

... going through Knoxville and a couple of other cities. Then we started to go across country, taking us through some beautiful mountain roads (single lanes each way) of the Appalachians. At one point we travelled adjacent to a picturesque lake with recreation ares, boating marinas and the like. Picture postcard stuff. Could not get any photos because of the trees bordering the sides of the road. The woods beside the roads through ...

... great family atmosphere. Great for couples,
honeymooners, retirees, snowbirds, young people, golfers, tennis
          players, skiers, snowboarders, tubers, etc.

Very quiet & private, yet very convenient to everything. Enjoy
spectacular sunrises & sunsets as you sip your favorite beverages
from your own private balcony, & build a warm, cozy fire for those
cool nights in your own private fireplace in the villa.
