... Daytona's British cousin) - arcades, hotels, loads of touristy beachside shops and fairground rides in a place called "Joyland". Daytona has bikers driving up and down everywhere and has a speedway (race track) and a bike week festival, so I guess people come to visit for driving. Excited that we had booked a nice hotel - we pulled in and ... oh my giddy aunt!!! What a place. Priceline has been great this entire trip and we have relied on the photos, reviews, star ...

Day 16 - Biscayne Bay NP

After a final walk around Key West to some of the famous tourist spots - Hemingway's house, end of Hwy A1A, and a picture at the Southern Most point in the continental US (just 90 miles to Cuba), we hit the road north. A stop at Biscayne Bay NP was a nice stop, and again we seemed to have the park to ourselves. Most of this park is also underwater, but we saw a few videos at the visitors center, and walked along a few of the boardwalks. We saw a ...

We decided to walk the 1.8 miles through town to get to the marina where the Yankee Freedom was waiting to take us the 70 miles to the most isolated National Park - Fort Jefferson within the Dry Tortugas NP. The boat ride was a little rough, but the $1 Dramamine they sold before the rise made it almost pleasant. ...

Florida, the Everglades, and Key West! It was an excellent day and it was almost surreal finally reaching Key West after all these days of driving and wonderful sights. First the Everglades. Not a swamp, but a very wide, slow moving river. Dropping about 14 feet over several 100 miles. It is the only place where both crocodiles and alligators live in the same environment. ...

... I found that looked good.

I ended up not getting a t-shirt this time around, but walked around outside to see what other vendors were there and most were packing up for the night since it was getting close to 7:15 p.m.
This is the 2nd day I have come out around 6 p.m. and it was really nice to not have such a crowd that you normally see during the early daytime and afternoon.

I talked to people from Fat Baggers to see about getting ...
