The morning of New Years Eve, we jumped in the car with Sasha and set out to see some more of Connecticut. We saw adorable town after adorable town, and had lunch at an old fashioned general store near Goshen. We drove through Cornwall, a perfect little town with a 200 year old covered bridge. The day trip ended with a hike to the top of a beautiful hill, where we were able to document the last day of the year with justice. ...

... Library was also closed, because it is administered by the National Archives, but we did enjoy a good lunch at its restaurant.
Along the way we discovered several excellent state parks, notably Petit Jean and Village Creek in Arkansas and Pennyrile Forest in Kentucky. Visits to friend and family in Lexington, Kentucky and Lancaster, Pennsylvania warmed our hearts and began to give closure to our trip.

The museum is rather small but displays most of his most famous works which he did as cover illustrator for Saturday Evening Post magazine.
