Arriving in French Lick is such a surprise. You're driving, driving, driving....then all I a sudden you round the corner ...there sits the most magnificent building you've ever seen. West Baden. So beautiful and so elegant. We went a little further to the French Lick Springs (where the Casino is located). We had planned to eat at the buffet/cafeteria but they stopped serving at 2 pm. So we decided to go back to the rotunda, West Baden.

We ate pizza which was a good late lunch for me and took off again. 23 miles after Flora I got to a town called Olney and got ...

... sweet three-year old daughter. For diner we took a taxi ride to "The Hill", for some great Italian food.

Today's ride was through rolling farm land, lots of trees, flooded fields ( the levee broke on the Embarrass River), a Catfish Festival in Shoals, IN (we missed the egg toss and Corn Hole Tournament (?), ...

Paul & Deanna took us to a cave ( that is toured by boat. Something we had never done before. The cavern is in Bedford, about 40 miles from French Lick. We got there a little early so we bought a bag of dirt that have gems in them & Kaptain showed Amanda how to pan for them. She made a killing & ended up with a big handful of gemstones.

After that, it was time to go to the cave. The Tour Guide led us to the boat ...
