... all! Marty set up an appointment late tomorrow with a volvo mechanic at Samalot Marine located inside Haverstraw Marina. The SeaTow boat should arrive here by 9 am and we should get there maybe 5 hours later. We are excited to finally be moving forward on this issue although we are not looking forward to the bills for marina and mechanic getting close to NYC! We have no choice at this point. And so we paid for a last night here in Marlboro and ...

... drove by the lovely Catskill park, walked in the little town of Hudson where we ate a hamburger in a very American style diner, aluminium counter and little stools.

... of green trees. But boy is it all coming at once! We did not have time to seal the mast collar, barely time to get the dodger and bimini back up, and did not have time to plug in until it let up a bit a few hours later. When the rain slowed a bit we got out of the boat to investigate the music we were hearing, and it led us to an open air bar with a live band: Dock Street Station. Someone connected with the bar is in the wood business for sure- the four ...

... good service, very nice man, looks like a nice marina in case anyone is in the area! Troy Federal Lock was the only one without hanging ropes, we had to loop our lines around a pipe instead. After the last lock we hit tidal waters.... time to pay attention and plan our runs accordingly from now on. It was interesting to pass through the bigger cities of Troy and Albany, and for me it was fun to see Albany from a completely different point of view! After Albany's shipping yards ...
